Welcome to our Gite near Brantome in the Dordogne

Situated in a quiet little hamlet of 4 properties in the
Perigord Vert area of the Dordogne,
one of the most beautiful regions of France.

The Dordogne is said to have 1001 chateaux, so plenty of sites to see.
The fabulous chateau at Jumilhac le Grand, the original site of the story of the princess in the tower, providing one of them. Neighbouring villages are St Jean de Cole and Nontron, with a short drive to the tourist village of Brantome, on the river with its abbey and Perigueux is just 45 minutes
Nearby Villars has spectacular caves and chateau to visit. Maybe you prefer to just laze around the pool and later enjoy our local bars and restaurants.
We are within an hour of airports - Angouleme, Limoges,
90 mins from Bergerac, 2 hours from Bordeaux,
all serving London airports, Southampton, Manchester, Midlands and Liverpool airports.

Good location for cycling, 200m from the voie vert, an old railway track going to Thiviers.
Visit the grotto at Villars with an underground river, stalagnites.
Also a nearby Chateau is open to the public.
